This time of the year when the winds are onshore it is really interesting for us because we sometimes forget that we have a beautiful country to explore. Today we went to the Nicaraguan Lake to see what happens to it when the wind is onshore. It is amazing how this works because the lake is flat now with onshore wind and when we get off shore wind the lake gets rough with one to two foot waves. Here is the postcard shot of the day.

We also discovered on our way back to town a project for alternative electricity that a foreign country is building to help the Nicaraguan people. These wind mills are 100 meters tall and the blades are 80meters across. They have 3 completed and plan on building 12 more. This should help us with our power problems in the future.

The town is getting prepared for a big fiesta tomorrow night. Three different discos are setting up stages on the beach to hold all of the people that are going to come. Check back tomorrow for the pictures of the party.
