The lineup was a little bit busy this mornig but there were many fun waves rolling in. Here are these two guys having fun on these ones. Nice looking set, uh!
Pancho Sanchez drove up as well and rode a couple of fun ones. Here he is caught with a cool backside floater on this right.
On the last shot from this spot we have this unknown rider going big on this right. He was able to made it out from a couple of small but nice little barrel. Good job buddy!!!
Later on, we moved up to the second contest of the national surf circuit, where more than 65 guys where trying to get the crown. The waves were super fun and everybody was really stoked. Check it out!
A few cute girls showed out to the contest and they were taking a little bit of sun during the afternoon. This is Brown getting a little bit hot for later!
It was really nice to see that the police was taking care of this event. Here they are posing for the camera!
The big surprise of the contest, Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was eliminated in the first round. We are still wondering how that happened because he had some really good waves in the first heat. Anyway, here he is digging a deep bottom turn on this right.
Later on, after La Baloy was eliminated he decided to have fun drinking some Flor de Cana. Here he is doing his thing! He wasn’t getting high in the linup but he was getting high with the Flor de Cana!
The original drink and the original Nicaraguan food. What else can you ask for?
This is what happen when you get eliminated. You get to break your own board if you get mad. Tomorrow we are going to have the third round of Open National, Juniors semifinal and Laidies final and I was forgetting about the longboards as well
There were a few guys ripping all over the place. This is Brodie “El Gusanito” with a cool turn on this wave. He made it for the next round tomorrow!
The new generation was so happy to be part of this show. Here they are posing for the camera!
On the last shot of the day we have Roque Balboa Calderon throwing a kiss to all his fans, he is still alive for tomorrow. Alright folks. that’s all for today!
This is the last action shot of the night. This guy was out there before I arrived and still in the water when I left. Kudos! The sun was fading and so was I.
This crocodile is a notorious resident and I’m not sure he cared for my presence. Fun fact: If you ever have to outrun a crocodile, run to the side of it. They are much faster than humans when running head on but can’t turn very fast.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. This lady either ended up a bit later than anticipated or misunderstood what it means to get barreled haha! I’ve got to give her credit for looking at this wave though. You don’t know if you don’t go (or at least look at going).
FROM THE ARCHIVES
I’m gonna start things off with an unknown rider cruising in the barrel! All we can see is the feet so I think I will claim this one for me!!!!! But it’s not me.
Hi folks. This is Roberto “Lucha Libre”, Jairo “Come Pan”, and Mateo “Pledge” bringing you the report this Thursday. The waves were about the same as yesterday. The sets were about head high while the average waves were stomach to chest high. The crowd was not that bad, but there was definitely some people out..
