Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.

The lineup was effectively empty when I got eyes on the wave this morning. It was wave after wave. Unfortunately the consistency from this window didn't persist later in the day.

The Spartan! Well he looks kind of like a gladiator with the helmet on. But do you really need a helmet is the question? He could have a health issue that necessitates the helmet though, so we can't scrutinize too much here.

My head was spinning 360s watching drainer after drainer come in with no takers. Funnily enough the best waves came in when it was least crowded today. Some weird variance.

Couldn't stop Kev though! He nearly had a knee buster drop on a heavy right this morning. I think Kai DeLorenzo got the wave of the day, maybe even wave of the year today though. Super heavy one. Let's see if the clip surfaces at some point.
