A recent heavy rain left our rivers and estuaries full, and this one opened up just a couple days ago dumping a couple tons of sand on the bars. We are all looking forward to the next real swell to see what gifts the rain gods have bestowed.

The inner bar had some nice shape as the tide came in. Kiki and Lesther look on as they plan their approach.

Lots of peaks up and down the beach. Playful size today and great for all levels, not a common occurance at this spot.

With the conditions small as they are, James here, stopped by the NSR shop to rent a longboard. He’s lovin the Joel Tudor. NSR offers free swap outs so if you rent for several days and the conditions change you can switch it up and always have the right borad. We’ve got a stacked selection of all shapes including some new firewires, and CI’s.

Oscar was out there laying down some rail. We love watching this kid surf. He’s quick and creative and a master in the barrel on his backhand. He’s still only 15 years old.

Some more of the action from this morning. Guy on the green board is backing up his buddy or just hanging for the view.

After flying by green board buddy lays down a nice little turn before trying to milk it to the inside reform.

If you’re in the area and are in need of some new baggies, NSR has you covered. Our shop located in the El Pozo commercial center of Hacienda Iguana just received a killer selection of new Vissla boardshorts. Come check us out.

We’d like to take a moment to give a big shout out to a great group of guys from California who have been with us for a week. They head out tomorrow, but have really enjoyed their time with stay at the NSR Beach House, surfing with Nicaraguan surfing legend Olivier Solis and receiving top notch photo documentation by Brian Scott of Nica Shots. From left to right we have Josh, Dan, Dylan, John, Jobe, Mike, Terry, Ben & the world famous Oliver. Thanks guys, see you next time.

It has been another beautiful day at the beach. Stoked you could join us. Watch for waves trending up a bit through the week. Send a message to[email protected]if you’d like help planning your next surf trip to Nicaragua.
