I went in the morning to Santana beach and as soon as I arrived it started pooring! I couldn’t see anything so I waited in the car until the rain died down enough to take some photos of the waves.

There is definitely some size in the water but it is messy and stormy. Here is a “good” left at first peak.

This is a set coming in at the center of the beach. Not THAT bad, right?

How about this right?

After a few minutes the rain picked up again so I decided to head back to the car and go home.

If you are coming to this area make sure you get a 4×4 truck because all the roads are muddy and slippery. It is super fun to drive in this conditions but it’s not fun when you get stuck in the mud.

All this rain and humidity makes the perfect enviroment for fungi to grow everywhere, including your house if it was poorly built.
According to Wikipedia a “mushroom (or toadstool) is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source”

The sky cleared a little for a while so I went to the NSR Surf Shop to check on the process of its remodelation.

“We are expanding! Please excuse the construction.
We are open 9 am – 5 pm.
Walk into the entry hall and open the wooden door on the left. We are still open from 9 am – 5 pm.
Door is Closed but we are OPEN”

The new shop will be big and spacious, I still don’t know exactly what is what but it will probably look great!

This space looks almost done. I wonder what’s going to be here.

In the mean time the shop is in one corner where you can still find all your surfing needs. Although what you probably need right now is an umbrella and I don’t think we sell those here.

Stickers! who doesn’t like stickers? Come get your NSR sticker for your surfboard, your car, your fridge, your computer…

I went to the beach to see if Colorado was in another dimension or something, maybe here was offshore and firing (always positive!), but no, it was the same as Santana. 🙁

I found another kind of fungus at the golf course. Interesting that they kinda look like golf tees.

There were some people at the beach looking at the messy waves… they were probably all thinking “that looks ridable, should I try? Nah”

We will try to get creative with the surf report because the rain will continue for a few more days. Please, don’t despair, the waves will come back! I promise! Saludos
