Somewhere in Nicaragua
Whatup guys. Better late than never eh? Kevin here with today’s report. There’s really no other way to put it, Playa Colorado was firing today. I guess you could say the first solid swell of the season hit yesterday and into today. It was messy and disorganized, and the sandbar isn’t quite 100% finished, but it’s getting there. Has Colorados awoken from its slumber? Hit the jump and decide for yourself.

For those of you in the states, lack of swell is not really a concern in Nicaragua. That’s the beauty of this place.

When conditions were best, it was big, and it wasn’t glassy. It was foamy, there was some backwash, and it was heavy

So there you have it. Colorado was DEFINITELY on today. Swell dropped rapidly throughout the day though. Checked Colorado in the morning and it was good, and then checked it again a couple of hours later and it was literally half the size. It came and went fast, but it was pretty good for the first swell of the year.
