Santana was showing some really good peaks, and as always, the lefts where the best ones, long, steep walls with the occasional barrel.

As I said, great walls that allowed you to do some serious carvings on it.

And of course, some really nice water curtains to throw around.

But don’t get me wrong, there were also some nice hollow waves coming through… check out Gustavo Noguera getting shacked.

This wave was for sure the bomb of the day here at Santana, and Gustavo owned it!

Santana was really good and the few surfers out there were definitely throwing a great show.

But as the good guy I am, I decided to go check out Colorado to show all of our fans how good this time of the year is, her in Nicaragua.

As you have seen from Brian and Parker, the two other surf reporters, Colorado has been amazingly good these past days.

The year-round Colorado barrel fest is at its best right now.

And of course, there are plenty of people trying to get a good souvenir from their amazing barrel rides they’ve got the last few days.

Here is a comment from one of our clients that left not that long ago:”During a challenging time for travel from Managua to Rancho Santana due to the political situation, the NSR team provided us with other options that would allow us to arrive safely with our family and 9 month old baby. We decided to fly from Managua to Costa Esmeralda airport outside Rancho. We felt 100% safe during our whole travel experience. Of course, once we arrived to the property, we knew we would feel right at home. The NSR team made our trip stress-free and gave us the opportunity to travel to their beautiful country for an amazing week of surf and sun, even though the country is going through an extremely rough time. Since we could safely traveling, we were able to support the local community in a time when they need the business the most. Aloha to Baldo and Sarah! We will be back!”

As you probably noticed, NSR has been trying to keep promoting tourism in Nicaragua even though the country is going through political unrest for two months. Thank God/Neptune/Poseidon that here on the coast everything is still running normal. Please understand that our priority is the safety of our clients, we work hard to guide our clients the best way/route to come to the beach (charter flights from Managua is the way to go!) .The only risk our clients are taking is getting pummeled by one of the amazing barrels we have during this time of the year.Have a great week, we sure will have one here on the Nicaraguan coast!
