I got down to the playa to find only one person out.. and it was John Springfield.
Everywhere else was looking pretty desolate.
But with the beautiful surroundings, I didn’t really mind the tranquility of the empty beach scene!
Looking back for some surfing action, I was glad to see at least John was out.
He was catching a ton of waves with his long board.
Looking way down the beach I noticed a few others coming to play as well.
With the incoming tide, the waves were kind of starting to pick up a little more too.
Even with the heaviest of wind gusts this afternoon, there were still some clean looking perfectly tapering little peelers.
As always, my favorite light and time to shoot. The Golden hour.
The photos actually do the waves later in the afternoon much more justice than they really were. The winds really made it pretty tricky to get into most of them.
It seems that as that tide always starts to push in here, the waves always seem to grow in size. This place loves more water on the reef.
Cesar making a run for his money on the rights.
The boys!!!
Nothing better than seeing a frothed out grom running into the water for a few more fun ones for last light.
And last light was pretty EPIC, I must say!!!
So looks like the waves will remain this size for a couple more days and then we have a nice little bump in swell predicted for Friday and some nice juicy waves for the weekend! Until then… as always hope to see you back here mañana for Hump day Wednesday! Cheers ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Pangas, specifically French Fries right. The wind was ripping pretty hard around mid-day, but it mellowed out slightly in the evening and the direction improved some. It was golden hour!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. This lady either ended up a bit later than anticipated or misunderstood what it means to get barreled haha! I’ve got to give her credit for looking at this wave though. You don’t know if you don’t go (or at least look at going).
FROM THE ARCHIVES
For sure today is a Happy Monday for all the surfing lovers in Nicaragua. The dry spell is finally gone and the waves finally arrived here at Santana. Check it out!
