It was low tide and we had small peaks breaking perfectly in shalow waters… super fun!
Today was not only fun, but also hot! The sun felt 5 times stronger than any other day, which put every surfer out there on the hunt for some shade.
The waves were glassy because we barely had any wind throughout the day.
Some of the set waves doubled in size and were surprisingly good.
Here is Rutciel (@rutciel) showing us how it’s done at Colorado at low tide. Fast drop, and full commitment!
Right away pick your line and aim for speed.
Crouch and hope for the best.
Well done Rutciel! Thanks for the presentation!
Today we had several “Oh shit” moments… you know, right when you realize you’re about to eat it.
There are two kinds of “Oh shit” moments: the ones that happen really fast (“ohsh…”) like the last photo, and the long ones like this one when you it coming (“Oh shhhhhiiiit”) and the only is going down.
Not a bad way to spend the Sunday, right?
A lot of the tourists had to flight back to their countries earlier than planned because of Hurricane Dorian, so there is no crowd at all in the water.
Rutciel was taking advantage of the fact that there are not that many people trying to catch the same waves.
Check out Panga Drops, looks like it was also working very well there. I’m going to have to check it out tomorrow. Hasta mañana!
