It rained hard last night and brought back the onshore winds, making the surf not as good as we all want to see here.
With these conditions there were only a few surfers in the water, but they didn’t spend much time there, just a quick session enough to soak up a little of salt water to feed the bug.
These guys were try to find ways to spend their time out of the water and they went on a bet to see who was better at the slack line.
Just by comparing these two photos you can tell right away who did better… these guy had a great style with his cross step.
And the big guy takes the win and claims it big, howling and his friends sitting at the bar.
Here is “The Barrel” of the day… I’m pretty sure this guy’s left eye got a good look of that little cave.
For all the surfers out there that like rock climbing, maybe these walls on the south end of the beach might work for some Bouldering or Trad climbing.
I don’t know much about rock climbing but I know about rappelling (I have ropes, harnesses, etc.) so if any of you would like to explore and create some small routes, I’ll be glad to help! It should be fun during these onshore winds.
Although there are people that still find some fun on these conditions… check out this power hack!
This guy mananged to find some long open waves and made a few turns on each one.
That’s it for today’s report… It’s time for me to focus on the Freshwater Pro that is Live now… here is Gabriel Medina deep into that perfect barrel… but not as perfect as the real thing here at Colorado. Cheers!
