When was the last time you guys felt that you were on a never-ending losing streak? Well, I’m kinda in one, but I wouldn’t call it a “losing streak” though… It’s more like a “never-ending-very-hard-to-win-challenges-and-tests-but-at-the-end-you-succeed” series of moments. The last one (so far) it’s my camera not reading any SD cards today before sunset, not being able to take photos for today’s surf report. This one is from November 21st of 2015.
You probably have noticed that I haven’t been writing the reports lately… it’s been very long weeks dealing with medical issues, mine and family.November 21st, 2018. Satana beach
In the last month and a half, my family went through 3 surgeries: 2 mine and 1 my oldest son, who got Dengue right after his surgery and had to be hospitalized for a few nights.Colin Eberly enjoying November 21st 2014’s barrels.
A couple of weeks later my wife Sarah had to spent 2 nights at the hospital because of super intense pain related with her gallblader… not surgery needed.Chris Rubsamen getting deep in November 21st, 2017.
As I said, it’s not that bad because we’ve been able to overcome each one of those situations but, “golly” (like my Texas family say), it’s tiring and hard to deal with everything all at the same time.Unknown surfer on November 21st, 2012.
The important thing is that we accepted each challenge with good attitude, full of positiveness and with a great support from our family and friends. For that, we’ll be always thankful, and ready for the next set.Now I just need to find out what’s wrong with my camera!
After all these, I’m ready for a nice distraction, and this Saturday at Casa Maderas looks like will be a good place to enjoy some music and celebrate all the good things we have and enjoy every day! Cheers everyone!!
