When I walked up onto the beach this morning there were 5 surfers on the peak to my right and these two heading out to that lonely left. I’m from Sandy Eggo, CA and couldn’t imagine having these waves with any less than a million people :p

First barrel hunter of the day had his eye on this backside beauty.

I’d like to imagine the dog on the left saying “I’m just gonna go catch a few more”, and the guy on the left saying “I’m just gonna go catch a few more”.

Local Surfer Carlos knows this wave as well as just about anyone.

After he got out of the water I had to go pick his mind about the tendencies and intricacies of this wave. His suggestion, “You gotta learn how to get barreled going both ways here at Playa Colorado”.

This guy has been shredding the last few days, got me looking at LB’s up at the NSR Surf Shop.

Look back at it, I get goosebumps when I look at it. Nica’s version of rubbernecking.

You just drop in, smack the lip… Waapah!

Just drop down… Swoopah!

Here is a shredder that was channeling Hawaiian Dane Kealoha with the pigdog stance in full effect.

Find the line and hit the gas.

See all the spray that came from that head flick!

My elation for this new position is only surpassed by my anticipation for the coming swells. Hope ya’ll enjoyed my first ever surf report, check back tomorrow for more. Go book your stay, I’ll save a spot in the lineup for you!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves were better this morning than the prior mornings, and were worse in the afternoon than the past few afternoons.
