All of you have seen his name but none of you have met him, I’m talking aboutChris Russell, NSR’s new Concierge and Surf Reporter.

I said Chris is the luckiest man because he came to Nicaragua for his new job right before the world shut down due to COVID-19.

Basically Chris quarantine himself in Paradise, surfing uncrowded waves, and because of social distancing and lack of tourists, his Concierge duties are almost none. So, what to do? he’s been learning a bunch of things, one of them is a hang ten handstand!

Don’t get me wrong, he’s been working a lot, specially with Social Media duties… have you noticed all theNSR’s Instagramcontent with tons of posts and Stories every day?

Chris is also working on his style, as you can see here… just chillin’ before going to work.

Look who was also surfing today… Kenny getting a nice right and finding a bit of cover.

Seth was also out there enjoying the small conditions before work.

One of our regular visitors Dr. Nicolas Ibañez, a physiotherapist from Managua getting his own therapy session at Colorado. Check out his practice at@fisiomednic.

This is interesting… unknown surfer getting the barrel view, without getting in the barrel 🙂

Going back to the luckiest man… besides getting to play on the waves every day, he also gets to play with a drone every day! He’s been dedicating a lot of time to learn how to fly the drone to get aerial videos, then learning how to edit those videos… and he’s getting good really quick at both!

Everyone knows that working at NSR is super fun and Chris is definitely enjoying this job, he’s committed, thankful and loving this experience.

Imagine Chris’ face in the future when his grandsons and granddaughters ask him about how was his life during the pandemic… Chris, please promise me that you will show them this surf report when that moment comes.

“kids… it was a difficult time, the pandemic put the world up side down… or was it just me and my hang ten handstand?”

Oh uh! looks like Chris overrotated on his handstand!

He’s still holding tight on that nose! Impecable overall performance, dominating the lineup with his longboard skills! Check out his leash hahaha!

Why I’m not surprise to see John finding a perfect little barrel?

Well, now that you know who the “new Parker” is, it’s time toplan your next vacationas soon as the international flights to Nicaragua open up, so you can meet Chris in person, and share some waves with him. Have a great week everyone!
RECENT REPORTS

Howdy, howdy everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days! The epic run of surf we’ve had continued today. But I do think today was the last of it for a while.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Hello everyone, this is Baldo starting a new week of Surf Report in Nicaragua. Before you get too excited about this photo, just want to clarify that this one was from July 7th, 2017… sadly, today was not like that.

Hey there! Welcome back to the Sunday surf report. I had high hopes of reporting back to you today with some nice new(er) early swell in the water, but unfortunately we had to ride it out with a search and search harder mission. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun though. Check out our version of todays..

Bienvenidos Surfistas y amantes del océano!! As promised, I arrived at the playa nice and early this morning and sure enough, the waves were still going off!!Tide was dropping quickly, so all you late risers might have to wait until the tide swings back around; but you can bet its going to be full on..
