One of the best ways to spend the day….. catching some rays and a little vitamin D while that warm tropical sun bronzes your body all while listening to the ocean waves right in front of you. How’s that for a tranquil part of your day.
This would be the # 1 thing on John’s list of favorite things he likes to do here. AND Colorados is still working well into the first part of 2021 which is a really good sign!
Dr. Stephen Hunt (aka the legend) has helped more people here with his incredible medical background than I think people can count, including myself. Let’s just say that when I had my little accident with my moto a little while back, he pretty much (literally saved me from a very highly and likely situation of possibly losing a couple toes or even half of my foot). So in short, I owe this guy a lot of gratitude! AND hopefully a stockpile of surf photos to stoke him out for helping me out!
Hey hey hey, check it out…. all my favorite Señor’s were out. Roberto here looking for that classic Playa Colorado cover up!
That 4:30 to 5 PM role call and sunset time always beckons any and all surfers who are here and there are waves.
That is of course, the volleyball group has all chimed in on the Whatsapp thread earlier on in the day committing to a little 4 on 4 or is it 5 on 5? This looks more like 4 on 4, but either way, they’re all getting exercise be it playing Maverick and Goose giving their opposing team some Spalding tattoos or hitting the waves!
Mr. Russle flexing his muscle while doing the unthinkable while walking the tightrope. Dude’s got some serious balancing skills. He must be killing time until the next V-Ball match up.
There’s no doubt a lot of crazy happenings all over the world right now, and I often like to remind all you devoted readers that I hope you never feel at all that we are rubbing our very lucky lifestyle here in your face, in fact that is the exact opposite. I’m hoping this brightens everyone’s day and give you all something to look forward to, to seeing each and every day!
Exactly mid Jan and we still have plenty of good swell at the beachie which if you live or are visiting here is a very very good thing! Philipo here would agree!
Met this nice family visiting from Managua for the weekend. The Castillo family enjoying a little mini vacay from the big hot and concrete jungle about 3 and a half hours from right where they’re standing.
Safari charters who are some really good friends of NSR and whom also do some pretty heavy charging in the big stuff when we have the legit swells during the peak season, coined the phrase “SUBU” and I think this guy is doing exactly just that!
Colin blowing off some steam…. cause I personally know how much work he puts in on the computer time (much like me). Surfing is not just a fun activity…. it’s a sanity keeper, for anyone who is a real truly dedicated lifetime surfer; which Colin is and has been his entire life.
Racing that fast lowering sun as quickly as this panga will allow to do the classic beach lading…. always remember to “HOLD ON” or you’ll end up in the front of the boat once it comes to a stop! Jaja – you’ll only know if you’ve ever done the panga day trip boat trip thing.
Like I’ve said over and over again….. this place has some of the BEST sunsets out of any place I’ve ever seen. But they’re always unique and different every time too, like todays minimalist but super beautiful contrast looking complimentary color scheme in all it’s glory. Que tengas una buena noche, adiós ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Pangas, specifically French Fries right. The wind was ripping pretty hard around mid-day, but it mellowed out slightly in the evening and the direction improved some. It was golden hour!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. This lady either ended up a bit later than anticipated or misunderstood what it means to get barreled haha! I’ve got to give her credit for looking at this wave though. You don’t know if you don’t go (or at least look at going).
