At Colorado there was only one guy out, and this is the only wave he caught during the whole time I was at the beach this morning.

At least someone was enjoying the great shapes of this morning’s waves.

Even though the conditions were not good for the normal surfer at Colorado, it was great for the groms at Punta Sardinas.

Also known as Beginners’ Bay due to its slow and soft waves, carefully peeling over a shallow reef full of seaweed.

There were just a few surfers enjoying the long lefts. You can see Popoyo right around the bay, and Guasacate beach on the background.

Let me introduce you to theGroms of Tola Surf Club!. We actually haven’t picked up a name yet (today was our first day at the beach), but I like the acronym GOT Surf Club.

These kids study at Tola International School, founded (and run) by a group of parents that saw the necessity to create a bilingual school that could offer quality education at a reasonable price. This is Ema showing a great style on the softtop.

The title of the Most Enthusiastic Surfer of the Club goes to Elisa… she has the biggest smile every time she rides a wave.

Christian loves surfing but he’s more reserve showing his excitement, he looks super focus on every ride.

Here is Etienne showing the kids what not to do, which is avoid putting your knees on the board when you’re standing up.

Here comes Mateo, excited to be surfing with friends, the more people the better… he loves to show off in front of everyone.

If we can commit to the GOT Surf Club to come at least once a week, soon all the kids will be catching the set waves.

Of course, Party Waves are a must at GOT Surf Club. It’s all about sharing the fun!

Check out Mateo with a mini bottom turn while getting ready for his next move.

Whaapa! Massive spray all over the bay!

Radical dude! Check out my face on the back… pushing kids into waves it’s tiring! Thanks guest photographer Sarah for being in charge of the coverage of this great day!

You guys need to start coming to Nicaragua again, if you take too long, the Groms of Tola Surf Club will take over and won’t let you get any waves ever again.Take care everyone! Cheers!
