Welcome back friends! The winds were the star of the show today, waves were in the 3-4+ range and the crowds were at an all time low with 2 people out at both breaks.
Here’s one of the hombres paddling like mad to get into this sweet looking right.
He paddled hard and finally got into that thing, but like I said earlier the winds were the show (or I should say show stopper).
But this dude rode that thing all the way in. It was a super long wave and he bobbed and weaved on that thing right up into this double up closeout sand grinder! Yahhh amigo!!
Looking at me after seeing I was shooting and then turning back to look and see those whitecaps out the back, it was a definite, ya, I’ll make that my last wave for the session!
I’m not sure if these two dudes were together or not, but he was sitting SUPER deep, which is actually a pretty smart thing to do here at this break. Because there’s ALWAYS a sneaker outside set, like this one he’s just getting to his feet on. Looks like it’s gonna be a super fun wave too!!!!
Pulled back you wouldn’t have thought that thing was going to throw out like this, but looks like he was almost back-dooring that oncoming section! Definitely some super fun playful size, (them sneaker sets!!!)
There was so much wind howling out there today, this was about the best frame from his first found house that I could get of him where you could actually see him.
Finally visable, coming around off of the pocket, you can see how much wind there is and what you have to complete with surfing into those 25-30 + mph wind gusts.
But this guy turned the tables on mother nature and he all of a sudden became the show! Alrighty, like I mentioned there wasn’t a whole to people out, but thanks to my two unknown soldiers who fought and battled those gnarly winds and gave as all some good eye candy and content for today.If you have been following the report the past week or so, we’ve been promoting this epic 5 bedroom home with 6 baths and 180 degree ocean views that is priceless! Happy Monday folks! Been hearing through the grapevine that the late afternoon sessions have been pretty epic. So with some other morning and midday stuff going on, I decided to trigger for that afternoon golden hour sesh that people were talking about… so let’s step on in and compare from the last few days middays..
Welcome back & Happy Sunday Funday for the last day of a pretty fun filled weekend! Once again it was that last afternoon call, with the higher tide and somehow that magical increase in wave size with the raising water. The fish have been popping off too! So I think it’s safe to say everyone..
