It was a good wave and cool ride, but he wasn't able to slow down enough to get behind the curtain. Had he taken the drop in pigdog stance he would've had more power to control his speed (create drag).

I was thinking he might not make it. The big problem with barrel riding on bodyboards is that you literally can't pump through the barrel. There is little that can be done to generate speed after you pull up into the tube. You're pretty much locked to that line with whatever speed you have.

Hi everyone. Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The wind was fairly light and favorable again early this morning. The sets were a little slow at high tide when I took photos, but the energy and consistency increased closer to mid-tide later in the morning.
