July 3rd: as always July is a great month here in Nicaragua, plenty of great swells every week, and Jackson Obando is always there, deep in the barrels of every mayor swell.
August 17th: professional surfer Shane Dorian heard about Nicaragua and brought his family and friends to enjoy the great waves at Colorado during August.
September 28th: Jeynner Granados from San Juan del Sur getting spitted superhero style inside a massive barrel.
Wait, did I say that the waves were tiny today? Not anymore! We had a birthday party at the beach and they brought a Tsunami for the kids!
Check out those massive barrels! Every little surfer’s dream on flat days!
Check out that drop! The kids were having a blast on that huge inflatable water slide. I was dying to get on it but the little ones never gave me a chance, I guess I will have to wait for the real deal in a few months.
October 17th: As usual, October was full of onshore winds and crappy conditions, at least for us (spoiled surfers living the dream in Nicaragua) because the whales love this time of the year.
November 17th: The day after Cat 5 Hurricane Iota and two weeks after Cat 4 Hurricane Eta, both hitting the east coast of Nicaragua and creating devastation across the country. Thousands of people lost their homes because of the floods due to the amount of rain that these two Hurricanes brought with them.
December 4th: Yuji’s huge smile reflects how happy we all were once the offshore winds came back and with that some fun and decent waves.
December 26th: Santa brought us the last swell of 2020 and looks like Hot Carl was a good boy all year because he enjoyed this present big time!
Well, that was 2020… from the surf perspective it wasn’t a bad year, sadly can’t say the same from almost any other perspective. Let’s see what 2021 bring us!
RECENT REPORTS
Hola amigos! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The tide was a bit lower by the time I got around to shooting today, so there was more action at mid-peak than the side-peaks. The wind was stronger today, but it was a little bigger today too.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops, once again we’re talking French Fries. The waves were smaller today, but the shape was arguably slightly better than yesterday. The wind was also a touch lighter.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hello everyone! Welcome to the first Monday of the year! The waves were small, it was cloudy but overall it was a lovely day.
