This mornings low tide had some nice playful sets rolling through, and pretty consistent too.
This spot favors a little more water, but it was a great day to take out the long board and ride waves all the way into the sand.
Those that came down to play with the shortboards utilized every nook and cranny of these waves.
Brett knows a thing or two about the waves here.
One, obviously selecting the board from his quiver (which is pretty good range of boards) and of course, the hat he was wearing to save his head from the sun; it was a scorcher out there today.
Koji taking after his dads footsteps, but his stance is the opposite.
This unknown surfer was out all morning, so I hope he lathered up with a lot of sunscreen. There wasn’t a cloud in site, so any chance of some shade was out of the question.
“Our lives are but specks of dust falling through the fingers of time. Like sands of the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” – sorry couldn’t resist.
Although fishing is the part of many peoples lives here in Nicaragua. And a good day to do so I might add.
Hey that was a pretty fun sesh, what do you say we go grab some lunch and a cold Toña!
As the tide dropped a little bit more, it seemed to also take whatever little fun swell we had with it.
But Brett still managed to find this little gem that almost let him get a little barrel. Yeah Brett!!
This Santana kid was killing these little 1 footers to pieces.
This guy noticed too, I think he looks pretty impressed.Well that’s it my friends. Not a whole lot to give, but there were a few fun moments out there on this fine Tuesday. Crossing fingers that new swell that’s coming in gives us maybe enough swell to get back down to beachie with some potential barrels (wound’t that be nice!). Would be the first tubos for 2018, so lets hope!! Stay tuned. Chao for now ~
RECENT REPORTS
Howdy everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves surprised to the upside today. It was slightly larger than I was expecting, and there were hour plus long windows where the wind dropped out.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hola and welcome. We woke to a true dry season day down here in Tola, Nicaragua. Winds are strong offshore and there’s barely a cloud in the sky. The first spot we checked was just over knee high, pretty walled, and only had a couple takers.
