Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 31, 2022

Brian Scott

Happy Monday folks! Been hearing through the grapevine that the late afternoon sessions have been pretty epic. So with some other morning and midday stuff going on, I decided to trigger for that afternoon golden hour sesh that people were talking about… so let’s step on in and compare from the last few days middays full(er) high tide sessions with todays lower tide - you guys be the judge!

Brian Scott

I will tell you one thing… the winds sure died down quite a bit and it was getting almost glassy.

Brian Scott

Actually, quite glassy I should say.

Brian Scott

Devon, shown here possibly on maybe one of his multiple and for sure last sessions for today. Nice wrap buddy!

Brian Scott

The beauty of surfing is it’s actually not impolite to point, but highly recommended!

Brian Scott

Especially when you see the light show about to begin and it starts looking like this. It looked like a paining out there this afternoon.

Brian Scott

Still some pretty nice sized waves on tap.

Brian Scott

Definitely looked a bit bigger on the higher tide earlier when I looked at it. But them winds were going nuts! Sophie taking off in the middle of the horse shoe and carving her way around that famous split peak left take off. This was her third session for today and she confirmed that the water is in deed cooling down with all these strong offshores. But I’d rather be here than up in North America, where even in Florida is in the 30’s!!! That’s just crazy!!!

And Cesar…. Cesar has and will ALWAYS go the full summer time without a shirt or rashie of any kind. I give him some props for that and alsos for his sweet buttery left sweeping wrap arounds.

Brian Scott

And to make it back, just in time for some supper… Whatca guys and gals think? The higher midday tide or the draining out lower PM tide and golden hour session? Come back tomorrow and see what I decide and go for! Have a great rest of the evening, see ya’ll again tomorrow ~
