This swell had definitely peak season potential written all over it… and then some.

Fin likes to surf. Fin likes barrels. Fin finds shade. Fin is happy. Be like Fin!

When you’re setting up with bottom turns like this…. how many imaginable things can you do to that upcoming section???

Well for starters, if your Jackson Obando….

As many as you want.

A tad smaller today, but still super incredibly fun on that perfect tide where everything was pure magic for that window when I was shooting.

The reef still had a lot of energy flowing through up that way as well. Just look at that little dot that’s about to get mowed down by that wave. Trust me its much bigger than it looks; and yesterday was even bigger!

The beauty about today and actually yesterday as well, the rights and lefts were working equally as well. The first day it was pretty much almost all lefts.

The perk of a perfect sand bottom beach break. You get the option of both directions.

Choose your canvas or in this case, cylinder as you wish!

Frontside, backside, still firing….. and it’s freaking February. Yes, I just pinched myself.

A lot of (well I can’t even really say a lot) but some unique and very talented surfers out this particular time of the season. Nice to see a little mix up with surfers from the past season.

The Local crew(s) from here all the way from SJDS came to the perfect spot for this swell and were killing it!!!!

Tucking in today is easy compared to yesterdays completely stand up arms over your head top to bottom perfect draining barrels. But hey…. who’s complaining?

Jerson surfed his brains out yesterday, when he was supposed to be shooting his buddies (according to the crew debate after yesterdays morning session). But don’t worry, I had Jerson’s back. You always gotta let the photog in the crew get some good waves on the good days too… it’s just common courtesy. Now being that Jerson is surfed out. Now he’s ready to go swim aaaaand

Take on some of THIS!!!!

Alighty you surf crazed damas y caballeros, I hope today and the past few days have filled your visual surfing needs and your hearts are content. As always thanks for checking out the surf report every day. Now it’s time to go do all my other regular Thursday stuff. Not sure quite yet what it is, but it’s a nice day so it will be fun either way! I’ll see you back here again tomorrow. Dale chavalos ~
