Somewhere in Nicaragua

Looks pretty nice right? Well it was in many ways.

This is looking North at the reef. Looks pretty good here too, right?

I tell you… those darn winds make it looks so majestic and pretty. But the reality was that it was a lot more work than anything to make surfing happen for everyone out there. Trust me, I waited patiently for a couple hours to get the goods; just like everyone out there today.

Here’s your Super Sunday TV Trivia for the day….. anyone remember what old school Television show this was from… “Da Plane, Da Plane ~ Boss!” *Bonus points if your too young to know… ** Extra Extra Bonus point if you’re old enough to know and still remember!

Judging by the guy in the foreground, it looks well overhead on the good sets. Too bad it’s so fast out there right now.

So this is what I was talking about. Such a good wave starting out (if you can get to your feet in time taking off in 30 + mph wind gusts.

I’ve never seen more beautiful closeouts. I think the offshores do them much justice!

I like the people ratio here. Love it while you can boys!

Last season our local ripper Kevin Cortez completed an insane rodeo flip, with a super crazy unique signature stomp in the end. Looking back the other way. Would you paddle out? I think the best response would be, “I’d be sprinting out”!

Its only a matter of time… a very short time. SOOO Can’t wait!!

The lefts looked a bit easier going with the winds as apposed to directly into them. But just a hair easier.

Because this is what came only a few frame later. Ahhhh but it looked so GOOD!!

Well at least both breaks were dealing with the same…. ahem… breaks today!

I think this guy might have found the one good corner out there this morning.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This one leaves me at a loss for words. Moe i ka maluhia, Adam and Jamie! My heart and Iove goes out to the both of you today.

If you look close enough, that’s Kevin doing the windshield wiper hand on his eyeballs.

If you’re lucky enough, you can get the salty water off of your ojos to setup for the next big maneuver.

Alright my weekend warriors. Its that closing time again. It’s crazy how fast the weekend blows by. I guess these winds have had a bit to do with it.
