Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 28, 2022

Brian Scott

Bienvenido for another week of waves, shine shine and gratefulness for what we have right in front of us. Other parts of the world right now are everything but what I started off by saying, in what we have. . .  BUT that doesn’t mean for one second that everything might always come off as good and splendid, we’re ALL watching and our hearts and best hope and even prayers for everyone who’s dealing with such horrific tragedy right now, can and will get through this. The world can be a magical and sometimes very dark place. All we hope for is that sharing everyday just a little piece of positivity and the beauty of what the world does represent when she does provide, can bring even just the slightest brightness to each of everyone’s day. With all that being said, I just wanted to let you and all of YOU, the friendly faces who come here daily to see what is our integrity  (which is to brighten your day), I hope you all enjoy todays surf report, but most importantly to remember to keep all of those who are fighting for their lives and freedoms there deserve, in your hearts, minds and prayers!

So, I didn’t even step foot in the water today, so I cannot honestly say whether the water’s warmed up a little? but Now that we’re coming into March, tomorrow to be exact… well, we’re just that closer to getting back to our regularly scheduled tropical warm water!

Marcos, ironically as young frothing surfer, on one super frothy wave. Here’s what a Nica lunch break looks like.

When not one or two, but all three are looking out at the lineup like this, that means two things. . . something goods going down out there and, that means I probably should be pointing my camera in the direction where they’re looking!

Brian Scott

Ahhhhh, but it’s ok….. I am pretty quick on the drawl. Just in time to click a few frames as Mr. Chris pulled into this inside section little drainer

It’s small (still) but always something to surf and that is one of the if not best parts of the southern region of Nicaragua. Yeah, they get good waves year round too, but you better be a morning person, cause you have to catch it at first light because by noon (on the money) it turns onshore. Sorry my northern amigos. I wish the lake extended all the way up your way too so you could enjoy the offshore winds that blow all day long here

Brian Scott

Por ejemplo. . . or case in point. There’s no hiding which way the winds blow here.

Getting pushed into waves by your novio has a lot of perks.

Brian Scott

Getting to surf with your novia es igualmente beneficiosa!!!

Brian Scott

Big John, taking the left all the way, cracking a nice little off the lip floater at the end!
