Of course, at Panga Drops the waves were breaking a little bit bigger than what the forecast said.
The shape was great, long rides both ways… good to stretch those legs before paddling out, and after too.
While waiting at Panga I looked over to Colorado and saw a couple of nice waves and just a few dots catching them, so I went over there for a closer look.
This is what I found… nice looking waves!
They were kind of fast but everyone looked excited about those drops.
Rick Briggs was out taking photos from the water… this shot probably turned out really good!
A needlefish passed by really fast, if you look closer, it had a fish in its mouth while jumping around!
Want to see some barrels? Rick can show you a few empty ones.
Sadly, Rick wasn’t in the right spot to get this sponger in the barrel.
Passing through at full speed!
Hey, look who’s back! the one and only Tony Z!
Let me introduce you to “the new Parker” a.k.a. Chris Russell, he’s joining the NSR team taking care of our Iguana guests and starting tomorrow taking photos for the surf report! you can follow his adventures at@russellnonstophustle.
That’s it for today folks, looks like we’ll have some swell in the next couple of days. Stay tune!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was very big as forecasted, but it didn’t really hit the sandbars appropriately. Still some big drops and adrenaline rushes.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday evening’s surf report from Colorados. It was a bit of a “stand-up contest” this evening, but the power should return tomorrow. Still surfable, but we are suffering from the recency bias haha.
Hey amigos! Josh here for the next few days. Welcome to April 1st’s surf report from Colorados. The surf was on its dying breaths today, but there were still a few good sets and pulses sprinkled throughout the day. The mid-day window had insane sun, so there were very few surfers out.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
The waves were small, in the 2-3 ft range, and they were breaking not too bad. Here is a roller at First Peak.
