Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, March 12, 2011

Before we get to the report today we want to throw up a big NSR welcome to Eric "yettoearnanickname" Moore who just arrived for a another dose of intern bliss. Stay tuned for some epic water photography this year, this guy knows how to get it done.

Greetings to all on this sunny and dry Saturday in Nicaragua. The NSR Tola crew was due for a surf after a long week behind the desk. It was not macking but there were waves to be had. Waves were about shoulder high, wind was offshore, and the water was a tad on the chilly side.

D-Lite, is testing his new fangled high tech cork board up here and was able to nab the first wave of the sesh. They weren't real consistent but every once in a while we'd luck into little wedges like this.

As usual Mario locked into the best right hand peaks of the day. Here he is highlining and thinking about a big finish.

The rights at the middle peak were producing the biggest waves of the day. Our fully wetsuited friend was doing his best to stall for the barrel on this one.

Here's Mario again on one of the better shaped rights of the morning.

Eric didn't waste any time and proceeded to get a little legit tube time during his first sesh back in country. Aiiight people, that is it for the Saturday report. We have waves forecast for early this week so stay tuned.
