Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, May 05, 2009

Welcome everybody to the Tuesday surf report.   This is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic and Jeremiah brining you all the surf action from the beach.   Today was a great beach day, everyone made it out to the beach to catch some fun shoulder high waves with the perfect offshore wind and the water was really nice crystal clear and warm.  Check out this sick lineup shot.

We had really nice weather today all the locals were ripping it up. This is Rodolfo “El Calibilly” throwing a big fan for his friends. You know with swacks like this he be a strong competitor in the up coming contest.

“El Abuelo” Lopez was trying to make some huge fans in the water as well.  Here he is with this nice looking right.  Hey Byron next time if you want to rip it up use a shortboard.

Here we have Heather “Hace Queso” and “Sandwich” sharing one of the better waves of the day.  Be careful you might make a cheese sandwich.

It looks like Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro is ready for the up coming National surf contest. We caught a great sequence of him today.

Shot1. Here he is about to unload.

Shot2.  He’s hitting this lip with a ton of speed!

Shot3.  Now he’s going backwards fast too!

Shot4.  Now he is going sideways!

Shot5.  Don’t fall my friend!

Shot6 He’s lands it clean!  That was sick buddy!

Our intern Jeremiah paddled out and caught plenty of good waves.  Here he is with a turn Jacksonville style! WWhhaaaccckkkk!!!

Here we have Pancho Sanchez about to put a hurting on this wave! Good Job Cheesy Barnin’ this wave!

For the last shot of the day we wanted to show you an awesome view of our town, San Juan del Sur, from the dock.  The waves should be really fun tomorrow, please check back with us.  Come Pan and Jeremiah out!

Meanwhiles, the fun surf of the last couple of days has definitely been overshadowed by the jumpstart to fishing season.  We received our first real rains of the year last night, the blue water has pushed in and it's finally warm!  This shot was sent in by Mr. Brown who went spearfishing today and crushed two of the biggest Sierra Mackerel we've ever seen!  Check 'em out.

Part of the NSR family jumped out in the water last night so excited to get some fish as well down here in San Juan del Sur.  We left the marina 3:00 pm and got back just 3 hours later with 24 white tuna, a Dorado and 2 nice jacks.  Who wants some sashimi for dinner?  We’ll probably make it out tomorrow so stay tuned with us.

One more shot of the action- we really crushed the fish today.  Don’t you think so?
