PLAYA COLORADO
Welcome back for another daily surf report and we are back home at our normally scheduled wave out front the majestic and miraculous Colorado wave. It looked pretty fun this morning with 4-6 foot waves coming in consistently and some bombs coming every so often. We are looking at a day of fun sized waves and potentially some really nice shape today when the tide starts to drop out before getting shiwhacked tomorrow with some new reinforcing swell that should produce well overhead maybe double over sized waves.. 6.2ft at 18s SSW 202 hitting tomorrow
Not a lot of barrels this morning but that coincides with the higher tide so expect some more hollowness later today possibly.
Nice corners and some peelers that were giving multiple maneuver opportunities a plenty this morning.
I got out there this morning around 6:30-7:00am and shot for an hour or so and you know what they say.. the early bird gets the worm.. well the dawn patrol crew get the waves, and this early bird is scoring some little fish.
Greg is visiting us and staying in the Casa NSR which is in the most prime time location of all the houses in Iguana being directly in front of Colorado and next door to the beach club this is the house you wanna stay in if you wanna be in the middle of the action. He was watching this morning and decided to make the paddle out for a few.
Boom bam beep bop rat a tat tat oh yeah brother!! Took longer for you to read that first sentance than it took for Greg to score some waves out front.
Like I said there were still some bombs rolling through the lineup occasionally but not as consistent as the fun no wave of consequence sets were coming in.
Shooting out of a barrel> morning coffee.. but why not stay beachfront with us and have both?!
This fella here was my barrel hunter of the morning as it seemed everytime I saw someone driving out of the cavern it was the same black top blue short guy.. Yeeeew yeah dudey!
Even when you could just see the tip of his board and he was getting snowballed he still managed to make the great escape.
