The conditions were not perfect by any means… there was a big current that moved around along the beach, making it kinda choppy some times.

But that strong current that complicated things today, it’s the main responsable of the perfect waves that we’ll have here at Colorados pretty soon.

That current is moving all the sand that just a few days ago was on the beach, dragging it, moving it and shaping it into the perfect sandbar that makes amazing/crazy/gnarly/scary barrels that we all enjoy.

Everyone was excited about the end of the rainy, onshore days and everone was eager to find barrels.

But the barrels did not fully arrived today, they were sneaky, crumbly, or sometimes just closed outs that required to hit the eject bottom.

This guy had a very distinctive technique, it looked like he was actually having fun on the wipeouts.

The few barrels I saw were fast, half way covered rides.

There was not that much room for rail action, but this guy managed to find a good spot for a nice spray.

Over all, it was a great Monday. I’m pretty sure everyone who surfed today ended up their session relaxed and with a big smile.

But I guess that’s the way we all are after any surf session, no matter the day… that’s why we surf, right?Have a great week everyone!
