The waves were definitely smaller than the last few days, and not that clean either.

Here on the coast we always take the ocean very serious. As surfers we respect and understand the forces of nature, and that’s why here at Colorado you will see sand bags in some of the beachfront properties…

it’s because we are expecting some big tides in the next few days caused by a couple of storms that are growing near Mexico, so don’t get scared, it’s just for precaution.

All this movement in the ocean is bringing some fish closer to the coast, which brings local fishermen to give it a try right by the river mouth. Dinner right in front of us!

And just like the fish, there is a little bit more people showing up at the beach warming up and getting ready for the next few days of big waves.

The “problem” here at Colorado is that the bigger the waves, the hollower they get. So with small waves you can practice your turns and then it’s another story once it gets big.

Now on Wednesdays you better leave the beach a little bit early because there is a new thing to do in the area so, you should go get ready and head to Rancho Santana before sunset.

Now every Wednesday Rancho Santana is offering $5 dollar Ribs (there are other plates but I can’t recall what they are, I only care about the ribs!) with live music and a great ambience.

Let me introduce you to Quilombo, the local band that is getting a lot of gigs in the area. They are awesome!

At the beginning the ambience was very calm and chill, people walking around, talking and getting relax while waiting for their food.

People from all over the area came for the great food and music. Here is some of the Iguana crew that showed up.

Of course, Bryan could not missed the event to enjoy a few cold ones. By the way, yesterday was his Birthday so, he is still in Celebration Mode… Happy Birthday young man!

Right after everybody had dinner (and a few drinks) the band turned up the volume and the rythm and people started getting loose and hit the dancing floor.

After a few beers Bryan started to get blurry so that was the call for me to go home and write this report.
See you tomorrow!
