It was the mid-tide dropping session around 9am today when I got down to the beach and instantly saw magic happening. Sometimes this wave is super fast and sometimes you gotta double arm drag stall your way into the tube like this grom is doing here.
Got some boogeys getting down on the action out there this morning in a very uncrowded lineup maybe 20 people or so
Yesterday I gave a shoutout to Lesther and here we have his bro Oscar on a sand dredging left, looking pretty deeeep..
..as a surf photographer the worst thing that could happen is you give up faith that the guy will make it and put the camera down to only have the dude come zooming out of the barrel and ya missed the shot.. well idk if anyone is coming out of this one..
.. well if you know Oscar and his bro Lesther then you know those are a couple of the guys around here that you just don’t give up faith on. Sick one bro!
Super consistent morning session today with no more then a 5 minute wait between sets, not the biggest I’ve seen here by any means but just that perfect fun size barrel fest today one after another
Quick check on our shoutout from yesterday, there’s Lesther putting on the brakes so he can get some cover..
You can see Rick to the right with his red helmet as he just got out of the water and was moving North, I’m sure he was thinking damn I was just in that spot to get that inside the tube shot..
What a wave! It looked as it was sectioning off that maybe Lesther should’ve taken the doggy door exit about halfway through this one but it stayed reeling down the beach and like I said earlier you just know if it is one of a handful of these dudes around here you just don’t give up the faith, most likely they are coming out. Sick one hermano!
Okay ya’ll thank you for cruising by and scoping us out today! We are always stoked to share some of the highlights of the day and the happenings around the hood. Hopefully this weekend doesn’t hit us too hard with this hurricane and everything but regardless we will be posting everyday just like we always do. Cheers hasta luego
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Good morning on this cloud covered Thursday morning, hoping the sun breaks through the clouds at some point here today but regardless the surfers are out and there are waves to be had. It was approaching the high tide when I went down to shoot and there were some fun corners and some runners too…
