The best waves took some time to come but they were worth the wait.
There were some scary-looking perfections coming through… so scary that some surfers preferred to look the other way.
You know why this beach is called Colorado? It’s a reminder that if you don’t get barreled to find some cover from the sun, you’ll end up “colorado” which means tan, burn, red.
This guy is aware of the repercutions of being in the sun that why he stays under the lip for as long as he can…
This photo is the end of a sequence that started with the photo above, with 10 frames in between where you don’t see this guy because he’s so deep in the barrel.
As always, you have to be careful with this waves, finding the right location for the take off is key!
A miscalculation and you could get eaten by these fangs.
A couple of meters towards the shoulder and it would had been a perfect barrel…location is key!
Sometimes it’s just better to aim for the shoulders and secure a nice ride that will be remembered.
Nice barrel, not too deep but definitely in the barrel!
