I’m pretty sure I recognized the two boards this guy and his friend paddled out on. I believe they were the brand new rental Firewire boards from NSR. That’s like scoring a brand new rental car at Avis, only better. Zero miles with flex and bounce like any new surfboard rides. You should check out the quiver at the newly rebuilt shop if you have a chance. It’s definitely advantageous to rent a board as opposed to paying and dealing with all the hassle of bring your boards down.
