PLAYA SANTANA
Hello NSR fans, this is Baldo from my backyard playa Santana. Today the waves were big, strong and fun, check it out!
A-frame peaks was on Special today, they were breaking mostly right in the middle of the beach which means they were fun going either way.
The rights were long and consistent.
The lefts were shorter but with no complains.
Guess who showed up today that loves these rights?? Mario Martínez of course!
He loves the rights but he will never neglect the lefts… here he is caressing this one.
So many waves like this went unridden… there were only around 8 people in the water.
And everyone of them were having a blast.
El Chele had a few great waves… here he is gaining speed with a nice bottom turn.
Then reaching the lip with a wide turn right on the pocket.
And releasing the tail right on time before the wave close out… he must be getting ready for the next surf competition here in Nicaragua.
FENISURF is reactivating the Circuito Nacional de Surf 2018 by organizing an event on the weekend of the 29th and 30th of September at playa Maderas, San Juan del Sur. If you will be around, go cheer your favorite surfers of the country!
FENISURFis also announcing that Joel Chavez a.k.a.CapullofromAstillero, will be the only surfer representing Nicaragua at theISA World Surfing Games Japan 2018.The competition will be transmitted Live through theISA websiteif you want to check out Joel killing it in Japan.
A good surfer is not meassured by how he hits the lip.
… But rather how he manages the landing after hitting the lip, here is Mario making it look cool, as always.
The boat just came in so it’s time for me to buy some fresh fish for dinner. See you tomorrow!

If you have been following our surf report in the last few days you might already know that the conditions hasn’t been the greatest… all these hurricanes and storms on the Caribbean are bringing onshore winds to the land of the (almost) permanent..
Hi friends!!!. Wow after have a good week of surf we have a strong rain last night and the ocean turn onshore wind all day. This is how looks the beach during all day. Well, check it out.
Check the solid barrels rolling in right. There are some peaks working again. All the people in the line up was exhausted with all the waves coming to break with good shape.
