It was a little bit choppy with a light onshore. Check out the A-frame on this one… it would have been perfect with offshore winds!

The onshore was light so there was still plenty of surf to do, specially big turns on the crumbly lips.

It’s just a matter of finding the right way to hit the sections before the whole wave closed on you.

Making the right call on which wave to paddle it was almost like a life or death situation… you could have an open face in front of you to do whatever you want.

Or eat sh*t if you paddled on the wrong ones.

For the untrained eyes it was hard to tell the difference between a good wave or a bad one.

Here is Chris (member of the NSR elite team) showing off his trained eye on which waves to go for…

Chris was able to find a barrel on these conditions! Not bad buddy, not bad!

Throghout the day the clouds came, brought some rain and then left so, it probably got better between showers and the wind got offshore for a little while.

There were not that many surfers but they were all together trying to find the good waves… the pack got cleaned out by a surprised set.

Looks like the wind will be good tomorrow and still some size for everyone to enjoy. Come back tomorrow for more surfing from Nicaragua!
