Everyone looked happy enjoying the warmth of the sun and the smoothness of the surf.

The waves were not perfect yet, still had some leftover “morning sickness” after so many days of onshore conditions.

Jackson Obando was not waiting any time today, he wasn’t even done with this wave but he was already checking behind for the next one… while doing a massive floater over a section.

Counterattacking is one of the best tactics when you see a punchy lip coming at you.

But in surfing, the best tactic is to attack first, right before the lip decides to come for you.

Late attacks are also good… let that lip fall by it’s own weight and then you finish it with style.

Kevin has been dealing with these situations for so long and so often, that he doesn’t attack the waves anymore, he just dance with and around each one of them.

Literally he goes in circles over the waves, sometimes even the waves get dizzy not knowing where he’s going or what he’s doing next.

Jackson and Kevin are the ones that always take over the stage, it doesn’t matter the song, the lights (and the stares) will always shine on them because of the great show they put every time.

There are a few other local surfers right behind them, training every day to be better, coming up with their own style and rhythm.

Looks like the “good conditions” window will be closed tomorrow and will stay shut throughout the weekend. Let’s hope not! Cheers everyone.
