Peter Kerson’s crew hooked it up with the boat today. Those guys surfed back to back sessions for a total of 6 hours. Old guys rule!!!
Meet Scott, AKA Red. He doesn’t mind a little tube shade despite already haing plenty of sun protection.
The offshore winds kicked up during the morning session. Mendel didn’t mind because he already blew the top of the wave off!
It’s a bummer Agnew wasn’t able to stay a few more days to time the swell. Luckily, Scott was able to pick up the pieces!
This break is a left point break along the reef. On a day with size and the right tide, the waves roll for about 150 yards! Enjoy the view from these hammocks in the shade.
But if you’re hanging out on the beach and you get hungry, don’t eat the “apples!” Besides, there are tropical cocktails waiting for you at the beach bar.
Peter stepped up his surfing game and threw extra hard cutbacks. If my daughter was charging Teahupoo, I would do the same.
Mauricio showed up and snagged some of the nicest tubes out there. Just like Mag Rock a month ago, he put on a show for the crowds.
Meanwhile, his cousin Ivan was pulling into set waves. After our full day session, we visited his Riveria Market and loaded up on goodies (for a fair price too). Check out his store sometime- you’ll be impressed.
I took care of land shots while Clayton Kennedy tooks some epic water shots. We are going to be receiving swell for the next two weeks so check him out at @Kennedyvisual or reach out to him at[email protected].
Lennin was taking care of some guest’s surf lessons all morning. Once he finished up work, he paddled out with us and showed us a few moves. See you out there next time hermano!!
The real champ here is Mendel’s awesome wife: Ilene. She gave Mendel special permission to extend his surfing trip for an extra week.
Normally, people hold on for dear life during the rocky boil section. Others, like Scott, use that steep wall to smash the lip.
Sorry Agnew, I don’t mean to be too hard on you. I’m still a little salty that you bailed on man night to FaceTime your girlfriend. Not to mention, it clogged up the internet and Netflix was laggy…
Between sets, the birds dove and caught tons of bait fish. With warm water temperatures in the mid 80’s, the fishing is awesome!
Ok guys after a double session and my sunset session in 15 minutes, you can find me in that lounge chair. Thank you guys for checking out the report today and stay tuned for some barrels tomorrow! Adios amigos!!
Ohh did you think the surf report was finished?! Clayton took some sweet water shots so keep scrolling down.Photo: Clayton Kennedy, @kennedyvisual
Check out the water color… It was crystal clear all day! Look at his cut in the next shot.Photo: Clayton Kennedy, @kennedyvisual
Mendel, the “robot dance” was only acceptable 20 years ago. But, nice cut though!Photo: Clayton Kennedy, @kennedyvisual
Peter is known for having the sickest Firewires with dope artwork. Nice shot, Clay! Thank you for helping contribute to the daily surf report.Photo: Clayton Kennedy, @kennedyvisual
