All the rivers rosed and nobody could cross them. This is Limon 1 river, it was like 100 mts wide, more than 1 meter deep and a strong current right in the middle. If you see this when you are in Nicaragua, don’t even think about crossing it.
No matter the conditions, Nicaraguans will always have a big smile for the camera.
Playa Rosada was a big brown mess, with waves crashing and bouncing off the reef in all directions.
Check out playa Santana rivermouth, the whole thing just opened up. This is a good signal for First peak madness and A-frames double barrels in the near future!
It’s cold and stormy outside so, the ladies went ahead and were catching up on work so hopefully they’ll be done by the time the sun comes back.
With storm or not, Rancho Santana is always beautiful and ready to host you… check out our NSR properties inside Rancho and plan your next trip to Nicaragua with us.
I went to Colorado after to check if there was any action there. I got a little bit too late, the only person at the beach was Dario, already packing his gear after a couple of hours of enjoying the weather doing kitesurfing.
Colorado was brown, rough and choppy… it looked like there was a very strong current.
Well, not much to report surfing wise, but it was a fun day driving around through mud, rivers and fallen branches, checking out the different spots and imagining the amazing waves we’ll have pretty soon after all the sand got moved around with this storm. Have a great night everyone!

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. This Wednesday the surf was mellow, but very clean at Colorados.
