PLAYA COLORADO
Good afternoon and welcome back for your daily dose of Surf and Nica vibes! The sun is hot but the wind is blowing and it is just a beautiful day to be on the beach. The swell is a bit less then we had hoped but having said that it is super fun out there and occasionally a bigger set rolls through the lineup and if you’re in the right spot you can get the wave of the day on one of those random sets.
Lucas makes some awesome digital art and all kinds of branding work which is super sick but what’s doper than all of that.. when he gets a chance to go shred some gnar right out front. Yeeewwww
Another guy that def knows how to shred the gnar and always makes it look so effortless while rippin’ like crazy is this dude right here.. Grant getting ready to paddle out and make some highlights.
Seemingly always in the right spot with a stoked out demeanor and smooth style Grant putting in some work off the lip on a fun peeler of a wave this morning.
Maria doesn’t have to travel far to hit her favorite surf spot and always ready to take off on one of the bigger set waves of the day! Yeah buddy!!
Not sure who this dude is but he has spent more time in the barrel then he has on land during this past week or so.. life is good.. no life is great when you’re living life here in Nica.
Nacho pulling in for some time in his #1 happy place right there inside da tube.. he told me to be on the lookout for his buddy “Mini” who he went out to surf with and trading waves just like that..
Mini pulling in on a sick right at mid tide with only about 10 people out and waves like this!! Needless to say he gonna be stoked for the rest of the day.
Another great dude my buddy Mikey here pulling in backside on one of the set waves that came through this morning on his foam board doing his best impression of J.O.B. and for sure adding to the Psych counter.
When the waves are pumping don’t be a napping lol nah but seriously this place is so good and consistent you can take a nap and still be scoring all day.
I think that may be Joel dragging hand to stall a bit for some cover on this beautiful peeling gem of a wave.
What a fun day!! Make sure you stop by Casa Anana’s restaurant for some authentic Italian food made by our lovely Tati tonight as she is open again after taking a couple of months off to visit family back in Italy and get inspiration I’m sure for some epic specials of the night. The waves are looking to be good throughout the day so make sure you get out there and get some for yourself. What an amazing year of surf we’ve had down here and it only keeps on providing. Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.
Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for a few days. The swell today is the largest it has been in about two weeks. It was still slow between the sets, but there were a few one hour windows and pulses.
