Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, November 14, 2009

What’s up party people?  This is Lucha Libre one more time bringing you the action for the Saturday surf report from one of the most popular surf spots we have in Nicaragua.  The waves were super fun, running about chest to head high on sets with nice offshore winds.  Check it out!!!

We had lots of people out in the lineup but it was good because everybody was sharing the waves.  This is Carlos riding a sweet looking right.

There were some waves to be had at Machete Pt as well.  Here we have Dave on this left, taking a little bit of risk right in front of the rocks.

We had people from all over the world today at the beach.  This is Richard from France with a small but cool snap on this right.

A few locals decided to paddle out and score some of the really fun waves we had all day long.  This is “The Nica Slater” getting ready to paddle out and catch some fun ones.

Peter “Cabeza de Pollo” made it out as well at Machete Pt and caught some fun but dangerous waves.  Check him out waiting for that little barrel section on this left.

It is nice to see the ladies charging out there in the lineup.  This is Lisa taking a nice looking right.  Nice background, isn’t it?

Luis “’La Baloy” Chamorro was one of the few locals we had out there, as always ripping all over the place.  Here he is with a sick air shot from a nice perspective.

This is Martin drifting a nice left hander.  He said that he was so stoked because he’s never surf such as fun waves like today.

Quite a few beginners were out charging in the lineup.  This is Anina working on this right with great form.

On the last surfing shot of the day we have “La Gaviota” Chamorro smacking the lip of this poor wave.  The Chamorros were killing it today.

This is just in, today we had a local fishing tournament in town, where more than 200 fishermans were participating.  The fishing wasn’t that good this year but they had fun out there.  Here we have a shot of the scene.

As I said before we didn’t have many fish today, here we have a shot of some of the fish that got caught during this contest.  Somebody is going to have a sick dinner tonight!!!

These guys swept the Dorado category wining first, second and third place with 21 pounds, 18 pounds and 12 pounds.  Comgrats folks!!!

The Surfari crew was at it again and as usual, they took home the first place prize - actually they tied for first this time.  They had all kinds of fish like Dorado, Tuna and jacks but they were not big enough to get a prize.  They won the most difficult prize to win too “The most drunk crew”.  Just check Captain Lances face on this shot!

Alright folks, I am hungry and dinner is served.  The swell is picking up tomorrow so be sure to check us back out.
