There really wasn’t a whole lot of people out today which means we might have finally seen a day of what our off season normally looks like. (**spoiler alert – there might be an abundance of nice empty wave shots in todays report, being that there were plenty of waves going by unridden).
Case in point. Perfect right with no takers. How nice does this wave look?
Leo was taking full advantage of todays shortage of surfers out in the lineup. Here he tries to find himself a little shade from the blistering sun.
Bruna (Leo’s girlfriend) decided to join her man and try and go get some fun waves out there.
It’s nice to finally have some offshores back since they went on hiatus the last couple of days.
I ended up shooting close to around when the tide was getting pretty low on the sand bars. You can see here some of the sand getting mixed up in the wave face of this wave. The water color was pretty nice looking today as well.
Pangas up the road was looking pretty inviting, especially since it was a few feet bigger up that way.
It must really hard to come in after a really long surf session, knowing that there aren’t that many people out and the waves are still really good.
This unknown surfer was having a bunch of fun on todays fun near empty lineup waves.
I only counted about 6 people in the water… and so I saw quite a bit of this. Empty waves going by unridden.
One of the 6 people was Bruna, the only chica out there. Going for it!!!
I take that back, there were a couple of body surfers up the way trying their hand in the body whomping beach break up a ways.
But still, more prefect waves rolling through, with nobody on em?
This guy was ripping out there
Pulling turns and moves like this all morning.
If you found yourself in the place, there were some really fun barrels to be had out there as well.
Timing is everything, as this guy negotiates the lip on this hollow screamer in about 2 feet of water. Pull in buddy!!!
The setting today was beautiful, compete with a lush green jungle backdrop with turquoise blue water.
The occasional frothy snowy looking 2nd or 3rd wave of each set making it look like this guy was more like in a winter wonderland bunny hill ski slope.
One more for good measure, just in case you didn’t believe me when I said there were plenty of empty waves out there today!
Pancho and Lou-Dog post epic morning session and bellies full post Pili’s brunch on this fine Sunday Funday here in Nicaragua. Enjoy your rest of the weekend day and here’s to a great week ahead..!!!! Cheers ~
