January 22nd… as usual for the beginning of every year, Panga Drops is the place to be for the obvious reasons, it’s always doubleĀ or tripleĀ the size comparing to any other spot in the area.
February 12th… the small waves from the whole past month makes everyone to adventure to other spots like playa Rosada, looking for a change from Panga Drops.
February 22nd… Playa Santana it’s a great spot during the off season, it’s A-frames work great with the small swells of this month.
March 3rd… decent swells start showing and you start seen barrels more often on our reports.
March 12th… I forgot to mention that usually between January and March is known as the windy season, super strong offshore winds that makes surfing complicated.
April 14th… the beginning of surf season with the first real swells showing up at our coast, the winds are calmer and the barrels are awesome.
April 22nd… photos like this are appearing in the daily basis on the surf report, and the real season hasn’t started yet.
May 9th… Surf season is here and you should be prepare to see days like this almost every week. Big, fast and hollow waves pounding on the sand and on our bones.
May 10th… this swell was too big for the usual spots but perfect to wake up the sleeping monsters in the area.
June 8th… swell after swell hitting the coastline. Massive amounts of adrenaline rushing in everyone’s bodies, created by massive barrels and massive wipeouts.
June 12th… beautiful waves crashing gracefully at Colorado (and everywhere near by), and stayed like this for another 3 or 4 months more. I’ll continue with the second half of 2020 surf review until next year, on the first Wednesday of 2021. Cheers!
