This gentleman looks to be practicing up for the larger surf we should be getting next week. His form and style here is great! He just needed a couple more feet of wave face and a little more zip from the barrel.
This little chica was on a tear this morning. I’d say she tied the limbo long-boarder for first place today. She locked in nicely on this one and did a good job of pointing her lead hand out toward the exit.
The little chica clocking some more time behind the curtain. She did a good job of digging her right hand into the wave-face on the drop, which lead to her slowing down for some shade (not that the sun was strong yet).
Ahhhhh, I love the blue-raspberry jolly rancher color that we sometimes get at Colorados! When you lock into a tube with this coloration, you feel like you’re on a different planet. Our little chica did well to find this gem! It was likely one of the cleanest and crispiest waves of the morning.
Not all of the crispy, clean tubes had riders this morning though! It always seems like a few perfect waves slide past or wide of everyone right when they least expect it (this is a regular phenomena I observe when my patience has run thin while I’m surfing haha).
Everyone seemed to be smiling, laughing, and enjoying themselves today in our small but clean conditions. That’s exactly how it should be on a Friday in our slice of paradise. That’s all of today’s action and I’ll see y’all again tomorrow for more! The swell is supposed to bump up slightly, so hopefully more tube-time for our stylish visitors 🙂
