The waves were not barreling as we all like to see it but that didn’t stop anybody to paddle out and try other stuff.
When I say other stuff I mean aerials… almost every other wave there was a surfer flying above the lip showing all kind of varietions.
There is a group of young semi-pro surfers that arrived yesterday so, this whole week will be very interesting to see them in close action.
Of course, Kevin and all the other locals are always out there representing and showing the Nica Power.
This is one of the few short barrels that I saw while taking photos today.
The smaller ones were very clean and looked like they could turn into a great barrel.
A lot of the surfers were trying to get under the lip but most of them ended getting pounded.
We also saw plenty of big turns with big sprays here and there.
Those ripples made great ramps to go for big airs.
Hey, look a this… a nice, clean, smooth barrel! If you are patient you will find one of this here at Colorado.
The rain and wind decided to show up by mid-morning and that was my mark to put away the camera and try to catch some waves under the light rain. Come back tomorrow because it looks like it will be a little bit bigger. Saludos!
