This guy put his speed to work with this layback down south. It was pretty rippable this morning!

Vinny demonstrating his signature frontside carves. He cleaned house this morning.

I usually don’t like to surf down south, closer to the beach club, but the right was really consistent there. Even for another hour and a half after I shot photos.

Woah, this guy did a double rainbow turn! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a double ring of spray like this before. Judges, does this not merit bonus points?

This guy has been consistently ripping the past couple of days. Wiping some speed off here.

Usually Vinny likes to go left, but here he demonstrated his backhand skills. Solid body mechanics here.

Our mystery “ripper” even managed to nab the barrel of the day! Quite possibly the only barrel today haha! He anticipated this inside double-up section perfectly.

Face schralper. This was definitely the window today. The swell had a bit more kick today which gave you plenty of speed to work with.

Rob jumped out for a power hour. He was splashing and having a good time 🙂

Given the choice between a longboard and shortboard today, I would’ve definitely opted for the shortboard. This guy was a contrarian and still managed to get some fun rides on the big board.

This guy in cool blue boardies got inverted on this end section slam. Sick one! You can see how coiled up he is here, I wouldn’t want to be that whitewater section about to get blasted!

The ripper really got on rail during this turn. You can even see his outside fin out of the water.

Rob also managed to win the lottery, he found one of the very elusive inside double-up barrels. He’s got his vision right here!

That wraps up today’s surf action! It was really hot outside and in the water, but it was really a pleasant surprise this AM. I’ve had a pretty gloomy take on the forecast since I saw onshore wind + October, but the past two mornings have been decent to fun. Fingers crossed the morning windows continue to provide!
RECENT REPORTS

Hello Monday, the winds weren’t offshore as predicted, but we did get some light swirling side shores which helped keep some shape. @tonyzphotos reporting.
