Koji sizing up this chunky left hander. He was definitely the superstar of today’s report.

Koji brought some extra power to the surf session today. He just had some school exams recently, so he was out of the water cramming / studying over the past week. Today was one of his debut return sessions and I think he was fired up after being stuck at home.

As I mentioned, there was only 6 to 9 people out, so there were definitely some gems that snuck through without riders.

Koji’s timing and rail game were on point today. His ring of spray is evidence of his skills.

BAM!! He torqued through another solid turn on the inside section. I think Koji caught more waves while I was shooting than everyone else combined.

This little Nicaraguan fellow was out there flowing through some of the cruiser insiders AND charging on a couple of big ones as well.

Look familiar? That’s right, Koji’s got perfect form here just like Tony Z’s sick back-hand hack from a few days back.

Yuji seemed to have the wave repeller on this morning haha. He set up nicely on this frothy insider, but the sets weren’t showing him much love today.

Even some of the older guys were out getting waves! This guy had “safety first” in mind, as evidenced by his helmet. That’s fair though, especially given how strong the surf was today.

Simon cruising through a small left-hand runner. He was riding a pretty unique (non-standard) shortbaoard. He’s clearly a flow surfer haha

More textbook form on display from Koji on this right. He did a near perfect job of anchoring his lead hand during this turn and rotating around it on rail. Max Power!

Fins out! Another well timed maneuver to close out the end section on the inside. Koji definitely had everyone combo’d this morning.

Another riderless nugg at the north bar…

Today might’ve been the hottest and most humid day of the year. There was some cool cloud cover at mid-day, which made it a more practical time to go for a run or stroll without overheating. The forecast looks good for tomorrow and Tony Z is back behind the lens so check back in and see what we get tomorrow 🙂 Cheers and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
RECENT REPORTS

Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. It was a wonderful Wednesday at Colorados. Probably the best waves we’ve seen since the epic swell in late August.
